Incretin receptor agonists and related metabolic compounds. The best-evidenced family in the library by a wide margin — three members hold marketing authorisation on the back of randomised outcome trials — sitting directly alongside three compounds with no human trial at all.
The evidence gap inside this family is the widest in the library, and it runs between compounds that are routinely discussed together.
Semaglutide, tirzepatide and liraglutide hold marketing authorisations and carry randomised outcome-trial evidence at a scale nothing else in this library approaches — SELECT alone randomised 8,803 against 8,801. Four further compounds have published phase 2 or phase 3 data and no marketing authorisation located. AOD-9604, HGH Fragment 176-191 and Adipotide have no located published human trial at all; for the 176-191 designation, exactly one indexed paper matches the name, and it is a breast cancer nanoparticle study. Sharing a family, a marketing category or a mechanism with an approved drug transfers none of its evidence.
