Growth factors and myostatin inhibitors

Arkham Labs editorial/Published 8 September 2026/Revised 12 September 2026/Corrections policy

Insulin-like growth factor analogues, mechano growth factor variants and follistatin. Every compound in this family is graded Preclinical, and one of them carries that grade as a floor rather than a finding — there is no study of PEG-MGF at any level, in any system.

State of the evidence

This is the only family in the library where not one compound has a published human study of any kind. Across five guides and ninety-two references, the count of human subjects is zero.

The one exception proves the shape of it. The only human data on injected follistatin is an adverse-event report: eleven cases of central serous chorioretinopathy following subcutaneous injection. The family’s human record consists of harm, not benefit. PEG-MGF is graded Preclinical as a floor rather than a finding — five indexed records, none of them a study of the compound, and no in vitro work either. It holds the lowest grade in the system because there is nothing lower.
