The largest and most heterogeneous family: mitochondrial-derived peptides, Soviet-era bioregulators, senolytics and metabolic cofactors. The grade spread is wider here than anywhere else, and so is the quality of the underlying literature.
Eleven guides, 244 references, and every grade in the system represented. Read as a ranking this family would be meaningless; read as a map of where the evidence actually sits, it is the most instructive set on the site.
Four compounds — 5-Amino-1MQ, humanin, MOTS-c and FOXO4-DRI — have never been administered to a person in the published record. Four others carry Early Clinical on Soviet and Russian-language reports whose sample sizes, controls and randomisation are frequently not stated. SS-31 is the family’s one approved compound, and that approval covers Barth syndrome alone. NAD+ carries Mixed Evidence for the reason the grade exists: the human randomised data is consistent on the biomarker and inconsistent on the outcomes the biomarker is meant to predict.
