In the only independent head-to-head, BPC-157 placed second

Arkham Labs editorial/Published 12 September 2026/Corrections policy

A rat Achilles transection-and-repair model tested BPC-157 and a thymosin β4 fragment under identical conditions. BPC-157 showed higher maximum load to failure than controls and numerically lower degeneration scores, but neither reached significance. The comparator’s did. Eight animals per arm and a single dose level, so this settles nothing — but it is the only test of its kind and both guides now cite it.

Field notes record what changed in the library. Where the effect on a grade is none, that is stated rather than omitted — a note saying nothing changed is the same evidence as a note saying something did.
